TaSH (Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Farmers' Market!)

 — (EDT, UTC-04) — (EDT, UTC-04)

Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market - The TaSH, Patriot's Park, Sleepy Hollow, NY

Join me at this wonderful market! Farmers' markets are sublime, and this one offers "more than 30 vendor stalls that hug a sun-dappled, grassy lawn, where the best area musicians entertain, kids dance and play, friends and families socialize, and everyone eats" (except, of course, the musicians, who are too busy making music to eat)!

Last year was... well, let's not talk about last year... I'm excited to return to this wonderful market now that it's not last year anymore! Won't you join me?

They honor the space and each other’s unique and evolving “voice,” creating and holding a fertile ground for conversation, interplay, improvisation, and emotion. Joining BH will be Larry Balestra on percussion!

Saugerties Farmers' Market (rescheduled from July 16)

Saugerties Farmers' Market, 115 Main Street, Saugerties, New York

One of my favorite markets!!! These folks really know how to put on a farmers' market! Plenty of tables and chairs and umbrellas and yummy things to eat and lots of sunshine and music. It's going to be a gorgeous weekend.

Why not come out to the farmers' market and support farmers, local music, and the community? It'll be great to see you! The market is located at 115 Main Street in Saugerties, New York.

Hey, y'all!

I miss you. I haven't live-streamed in a long time and that's because covid ravaged my voice. I'm still working to get it back, but I miss doing these live-stream shows, so I figured I'd get one scheduled and see how it goes! Wanna?

As always, here are some things to know:

• If you’re seeing this before the show starts, make sure you click or tap on the handy “get reminder” button (see illustration) so that MAYBE you’ll be reminded at showtime. Sometimes, I push the start time back and you'll get notified about that. It'll be fun!

• If you’re watching DURING the live-stream broadcast, I'd love it if you would share this on your timeline! You'll be tagged as a "Sharer," which is a good thing, and you’ll have my undying gratitude 'cause it just might help other folks see the show!!!

• I'd also love it if you would say “Hi” (or something) and let me know where you’re watching from and if the sound is OK or needs tweaking. Saying “Hi” and letting me know where you’re watching from REALLY helps and I appreciate it more than I can say!!!

• Also, I take requests! (I don't necessarily DO them, but I sure will try!) So, if there’s a song you’d like to hear, go on and ask! If I can do it, I will. And, if I can’t, I might try anyway! Or I might try to learn the song for another broadcast. Or, I might SAY I will and then forget! Exciting!

Your donations are always gratefully and deeply appreciated! (Strong emphasis on “gratefully” and “deeply.”) Here's how you can do that:

• Venmo: @MarjiZintz (preferred, actually)

• PayPal: PayPal.me/MarjiZintz or use my email address: marjimusic@gmail.com

Thank you! See you soon! ♥ ♥

Swing Vipers (Michael Boyle on guitar; Charles Frommer on clarinet, sax, and vocals; Aaron Lieberman on guitar and vocals; and Lou Pappas on bass) infuses the timeless tunes of the early jazz era with a contemporary, gritty style of swing. As aficionados of great melody, they always honor the inherent beauty, art, and story of each song while at the same time contributing their own rhythmic energy, updated interpretation, and unconscious desire to dominate the world.
