Imagine gathering with a few friends in your living room for a magical evening of songs, stories, and harmony ✨
✨ That’s the magic of a House Concert ✨
And they’re easier to pull off than you might think!
Most hosts tell me afterward that it was far simpler — and far more fun — than they expected.
You don’t need a big house, special equipment, or even any experience organizing events.
In fact, most hosts have never hosted anything like this before!
Living rooms, porches, backyards, patios, barns—they’re all perfect.
All you do is invite 15-30 kind folks you love to be with — friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, book club members, etc.
I bring the music, and together we create a warm, memorable night that feels more like a gathering than a concert. Hosts often tell me afterward that everyone left even happier than when they arrived. One host invited guests to send song requests ahead of time, and when I surprised the room by playing several of the requested songs, people were still talking about the evening days later.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, send me a quick email and simply write “house concert.”
We’ll figure out the rest together.

So...what exactly is a "house concert"?
House Concert (haʊs kahnsərt): a musical performance that is presented in a private home or apartment, or nearby small private space such as a barn, rec room, lawn, or backyard. In my decades-long experience as a performer, house concerts (or listening parties) have been—by far—the most fun, rewarding, and memorable performance experiences for the host and their friends and family. You could host one, too!
The difference between a house concert and a house party with live music is that the former is more of a listening-intensive experience with music as the focus; the latter is also wonderful, with the music taking more of a background role. Both are wonderful and very different from each other.
There are lots of wonderful things about house concerts: they are surprisingly easy to put together and very inexpensive (if not free) to host. And, the most incredible parts—the deep connections made, the memories, the good feelings—last forever.
If you’re curious about how it works and would like to see if this is something that might be right for you, send me a quick note and say “house concert.” Or tap the button below to send me an email. We’ll talk more about it!
HOW IT WORKS:
Hosting a House Concert is simple:
You provide:
• a cozy space
• 15-30 friends (more or less)
• a warm welcome
I bring:
• the music
• the sound system
• the experience
Concert Length: about an hour - plus/minus
Total Gathering Time: about two hours - plus/minus
Together, we build on that to tailor an event that feels intimate, magical, and memorable and exactly right for you and your space and community.
