Towne Crier: M+M with Jim Kunkel on the Salon Stage

 —  —

The Towne Crier Café, 379 Main Street, Beacon, New York

Join us for our monthly Sunday brunch at the Towne Crier Salon Stage!

This month we're delighted to welcome guitarist and composer Jim Kunkel, joining Mike LaRocco and me for an afternoon of songs we love, rich harmonies, inventive rhythms, and the kind of musical conversation that only grows deeper with time.

We'll be wandering through folk, jazz, Americana, beloved classics, a few originals, and whatever musical surprises decide to show up along the way. (Sometimes those surprises come from your requests... so bring one along! You never know—we just might discover a new favorite.)

Come for brunch. Stay for the music. We'd love to spend part of your Sunday with you.

Music is complimentary with brunch, but click here to learn more about the show!

QuaranPalooza Livestream Virtual International Concert

(EDT, UTC-04) (EDT, UTC-04)

Six years ago, things were weird! We were wearing masks on our faces (I had crocheted ours with a pouch for coffee filters!), the roads were deserted (my favorite part), gigs were nonexistent, and people were trying to stay alive. That's when "livestreaming" became the way for us musicians to connect with music-lovers. Quaranpalooza started back then, and it's still going! Quaranpalooza features fine musicians from all over the globe, includes various genres, AND supports a worthy cause.

Get a ticket, get into the Zoom, and support a worthy cause!

One of the sweetest shows I get to play is when I am asked to be the featured performer at one of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild chapters! It's always an enthusiastic "yes" for me!!! Not only is it a wonderful room to listen to music, but if you perform, too, it's a warm, receptive audience! The open mic sign-up starts at 7 pm, the open mic performances start at 7:30, and I'll do a set somewhere around 8:30 pm.

Here are the details:

Open mic performances will be available to all. The cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors). Sign-up begins at 7, and open mic begins at 7:30. The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30.

This chapter has a new home: The Redeemer Lutheran Church, 90 NY-32 South, New Paltz, NY. Here's a link to a map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yyLSvAaMdpqLuVKS7

West Milford Farmers' Market!

 —  —

West Milford Farmers' Market, 1452 Union Valley Road, West Milford, New Jersey

Music at a farmers market!! What fun! Buy some fresh, local produce; hear some music; and maybe pick up a CD! Not bad for a Wednesday afternoon in the sweet summertime!

The truth is that this event is happening every Wednesday afternoon during the growing season, and there are other very fine musicians scheduled at each one of these. Visit their website for more information.
